The Elevator Pitch
I’m treating education as a system and not purely a pedagogical abstraction. For this goal, this book utilizes cross-domain knowledge to suggest improvements towards education and education systems.
Education is discussed in an operational environment and covers various topics, such as:
- Legal, financial, and human constraints
- Stakeholder/client relationships and management principles
- Preparing a classroom environment and curriculum
- Metrics, math, and statistics
- Methodology from other fields and disciplines to enhance existing education systems
Rather than discuss educational theory in isolation, concepts such as system design, engineering, operational scaling, management, and communications are applied to evaluate classroom and educational operations.
Warnings, case studies, and implementation guidance intentionally draw from multiple domains including engineering, design, management, communication, and finance to better inform how and why decisions are made.
